Hive: A year of learning, progress and possibilities

That is how Hive began.

With one simple mission, make learning digital health practical, accessible, and rewarding.

What we achieved together in 2025

Courses built around real tools

This year we launched more than 60 educational videos covering everything from the foundations of openEHR and clinical data modelling to building apps in Better Studio, from beginner basics to advanced workflows.

Every course was improved through your feedback. We refined lessons, added examples, and focused on one simple principle: keep it practical. If you can’t use it in real work, it doesn’t belong in Hive.

Here is what you can learn today:

Certificates that showcase your progress

Learning is powerful, but being able to show your achievements matters too. That’s why we introduced certificates, helping you share your progress on social media, boost your resume, and highlight your skills. Each certificate became a simple, clear way to visualise real progress.

By year’s end, we issued more than 400 certificates. Each one representing a person who invested time in their growth.

Learning in your language

To make learning feel natural, Hive is now multilingual. Every course is available in English, German, Spanish and French, with more languages coming soon. It allows you to study and test your knowledge in the language you are most comfortable with. This opened Hive to learners and organisations worldwide, making digital health education more accessible than ever.

A fresh look for a smoother journey

As Hive grew, we redesigned the platform to make learning simpler and more personal. We introduced a complete website redesign, giving Hive a clearer structure and a more welcoming, guided experience. Navigation is simpler, learning paths are easier to follow and the whole journey feels more personal from the moment you start. Every detail was designed to help you stay focused on learning rather than figuring out where to go next.

The people behind Hive

Hive became the place to learn practical digital health skills for more than 1000 people this year. Clinicians, analysts, developers, students, partners and early adopters arrived with different goals, backgrounds and levels of experience, but they all shared the same intention: to understand digital health through real examples and real tools.

What stood out the most? Engagement. People spent real time exploring courses, completing lessons, and building practical skills they could use in their work.

Hive became the space for hands-on learning that truly makes a difference.

What is coming in 2026

2025 was just the beginning. Next year, we’re taking things further.

  • New courses and advanced content for Better Studio and openEHR.
  • Refreshed certificate structure.
  • Live sessions and practical examples to deepen your learning.
  • Guided learning paths tailored to different roles and experience levels.
  • Community-driven learning with webinars, partner collaborations, and shared projects.
  • Marketplace-aligned content to help you adopt and build on shared clinical tools.

Collaboration with the Better Marketplace

As the Better Marketplace grows, Hive is becoming an important part of that journey.

Marketplace offers ready-to-use bundles, forms, templates, widgets, and AQL views, with community-built applications planned for release soon. Meanwhile, Hive helps you understand how those bundles are built, how to use each component, how they can be used in real projects, and how to build your own.

Next year, we will introduce Marketplace aligned content and support teams as they adopt and build on shared clinical tools.
