Product management
Technical Product Specialist
Ljubljana, Slovenia
We are looking for an experienced technical product specialist to join our team!
At Better, we are building software solutions that help medical teams improve patient care. Our advanced digital health platform already supports over 30 million patients’ electronic health records worldwide, making data quality and reliability our top priorities.
This is where you come in. We’re looking for a technical product specialist who combines a hands-on technical aptitude with a willingness to learn complex backend systems. You will be a key player in delivering our solutions across the customer base and ensuring the ongoing technical health of the Better Platform.
You won’t just be following specs; you’ll be building trust with customers, contributing to technical solution designs, and progressively shaping how we support the clinicians who rely on our platform every day.
Skills and expertise you need to excel in this position:
- Technical proficiency: Hands-on ability to read and contribute to technical solution and architecture documentation (e.g., sequence diagrams, API specs, integration designs).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with customers and present technical concepts clearly.
- Problem-solving: Good analytical skills with high attention to detail in technical configuration and documentation work.
- Technical integration: Strong knowledge of REST API integrations is required, including HTTP methods, request/response structures, and authentication mechanisms.
- Interoperability standards: Familiarity with openEHR, HL7 FHIR, or IHE is a plus (full training is provided on the job).
- Domain experience: Prior experience in healthcare IT or clinical systems is beneficial but not essential.
How will you show up and shape success, one day at a time?
- Onboarding & learning: Rapidly develop a working knowledge of the Better Platform.
- Customer collaboration: Attend customer meetings, contribute to technical discussions, and build a reliable working relationship with the project team.
- Solution design: Participate in the review and design of technical solutions for new requirements, integrations, and configuration changes.
- Technical decision-making: Proactively flag technical risks and take increasing ownership of technical decisions.
- Documentation & standards: Maintain clear, up-to-date technical documentation covering architecture and integration workflows.
- Support & quality: Contribute to QA processes, test case design, and UAT testing with the customer to ensure high-quality delivery.
What will you receive as a valued member of the Better team?
- Full-time employment and other financial benefits: Enjoy a stable position with a range of comprehensive benefits tailored to enhance your work experience.
- Personal and professional growth: From internal and external trainings to mentoring and coaching, you’ll have the tools to shape your path.
- A real focus on wellbeing: Our wellbeing policy includes access to resources designed to help you stay balanced and healthy, inside and outside of work.
- Flexibility and trust: Enjoy the autonomy to manage your own schedule with flexible hours and a hybrid work model.
- A culture of learning and openness: Work in a flat, collaborative environment where curiosity, critical thinking, and knowledge sharing are expected.
- Meaningful impact: Be part of a mission-driven company transforming healthcare for over 30 million patients worldwide.
- A great space to do your best work: Work from our bright, thoughtfully designed office in Ljubljana, where you’ll have your own dedicated desk.
