QA engineer

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to help ensure the quality of our worldwide healthcare applications and systems.

Healthcare IT is an extremely challenging field and demands the highest degree of accuracy and quality. This is where you come in. If you have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills, are competent in devising test cases and are passionate about quality, we would like to meet you.

 

You are an excellent candidate if:

  • You are very analytical, curious, and detail-oriented,
  • You think outside the box and can come up with a testing strategy from different types of input, like documentation, talking to users, developers, etc.,
  • You understand user requirements and love to take action to improve the product,
  • You know when to be persistent with developers and how to communicate with different types of people.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Collaboration with developers and QA teams to create QA scenarios based on product specifications, including automated test scripts and manual testing scenarios
  • Regular execution of testing scenarios (manual or automated) and result analysis
  • Reporting bugs and errors to development teams
  • Help with troubleshooting
  • Adjusting test scripts based on issues found by users
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

 

Skills and expertise you need to excel at this job:

  • Proven experience as a software QA tester or similar role
  • Familiarity with different testing strategies, e.g., exploratory, regression, integration testing etc.
  • Knowledge of test case management tools
  • Knowledge of standards such as XML, HTML and JSON
  • Knowledge of APIs (HTTP methods and response codes, web services) and development tools and procedures (Unix, Git, deployment tools and virtualization)
  • Good reporting skills and ability to document and troubleshoot errors
  • Knowledge of project management tools (JIRA, Confluence) and bug tracker tools
  • Debugging skills and tools
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks (e.g. Cypress, Protractor) //also nice to have
  • Familiarity with programming or database query languages (JavaScript, SQL) is a plus / Nice to have
