QA Engineer

We are looking for an experienced QA engineer to join our team!
At Better we are building software solutions that help medical teams improve patient care. Our advanced open-data medical platform and healthcare applications already support over 30 million patients’ electronic health records worldwide, making data quality our number one priority.
This is where you come in. We’re looking for a QA engineer who combines technical skills with a growth mindset, curiosity, and great collaboration. Healthcare IT, and specifically medication prescribing, is an extremely challenging field that demands the highest degree of accuracy and quality. If you have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for quality, we would love to meet you.
We are interested in candidates who bring most of the following skills:
- At least 2 years of experience as a QA engineer
- Strong verbal and written communication in English and Slovenian
- Strong communication, teamwork, collaboration and organisation skills
- A keen eye for detail and can identify even the smallest issues
- A strong desire to learn about new technologies, leverage AI tools, and improve your skills
- Familiarity with different testing strategies e.g. exploratory, regression, integration testing etc.
- Basic knowledge of test case management tools
- Knowledge of standards, such as XML, HTML and JSON
- Knowledge of APIs (HTTP methods and response codes, webservices)
- Good reporting skills and ability to document and troubleshoot errors
- Knowledge of project management tools and bug tracker tools
- Debugging skills and tools
How will you drive success in this role through your daily actions?
- Collaborating with team members: Working closely with developers and QA teams to assist in creating testing scenarios based on product specifications, including automated test scripts and manual testing scenarios.
- Executing testing scenarios: Regularly performing testing tasks (both manual and automated) and analysing the results to identify issues.
- Reporting issues: Effectively communicating bugs and errors to the development team.
- Troubleshooting: Supporting the team in troubleshooting issues that arise during testing.
- Participating in post-release testing: Helping conduct testing after releases to ensure everything is functioning as expected.
- Maintaining test scripts: Adjusting test scripts based on feedback and issues identified by users.
- Working with cross-functional teams: Engaging in collaboration with different teams to help ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
