Business Development Manager – Nordics
Sweden, Remote
We are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager – Nordics to join our team!
At Better, we are building software solutions that help medical teams improve patient care. Our advanced digital health platform and solutions already support over 30 million patients’ electronic health records across more than 30 markets worldwide, making data quality and reliability our top priorities.
As our Business Development Manager for the Nordics, you will be Better’s strategic link to healthcare providers and partners across the region, with Sweden as your primary market and the opportunity to support Nordic and European opportunities. You will combine sales and pre-sales activities, building strong relationships with hospitals, regions, and digital health partners, while bringing the technical and commercial expertise. The role is based in Sweden with occasional travel across the Nordics and Europe.
How will you drive success in this role through your daily actions?
- Act as the strategic link between Better and our Nordics customers, with a particular focus on Sweden.
- Build and nurture strong client and partner relationships across the Nordics region.
- Lead the full lifecycle delivery of healthcare software projects — from planning to execution — ensuring timely, on-budget completion through effective coordination of cross-functional teams and resources.
- Establish a clear territory plan that enables a high level of account management through a balanced mix of direct and virtual customer contact.
- Develop and maintain strategic plans and roadmaps for all key customers within the territory.
- Deliver weekly and periodic management reports, along with accurate sales forecasting and pipeline tracking against the territory business plan.
- Manage the development and approval of commercial proposals in close collaboration with the International Markets Director and internal stakeholders, ensuring each proposal meets customer needs and is deliverable across the business.
- Produce quotations, order acceptance, and sales hand-over documentation to a consistently high standard.
- Support demonstrations, exhibitions, user groups, and client site visits, contributing to a strong customer experience throughout the sales cycle.
- Provide technical and commercial expertise throughout the entire sales process.
- Contribute technical expertise to international market opportunities beyond responsible region, supporting the wider growth of the business.
Skills and expertise you need to excel in this position:
- Several years of experience in sales, business development, or pre-sales, with a focus on the Nordic market.
- Proven digital health background, with a working knowledge of the Nordic healthcare landscape – hospitals, regions, and procurement dynamics.
- Strong understanding of EHR systems and the strategic challenges healthcare providers face when modernising their data infrastructure.
- Semi-technical profile: comfortable discussing IT architectures, data systems, and integrations with technical buyers – software engineering experience is not required.
- Familiarity with openEHR, FHIR, OMOP, or other health data standards is a significant advantage.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills across commercial and technical audiences.
- Self-motivated, and incentivised by results, with a hands-on approach to building pipeline and closing deals.
- Fluent in Swedish and English.
- Available for occasional travel within the Nordics and across Europe to meet customers, partners, and colleagues.
What will you receive as a valued member of the Better team?
- Full-time employment and other financial benefits: Enjoy a stable position with a range of benefits tailored to enhance your work experience.
- Flexible work environment: Embrace a high degree of autonomy with flexible hours and work from home.
- Collaborative learning culture: Enjoy a non-hierarchical and supportive teamwork environment where knowledge sharing, critical thinking, and innovation are encouraged, allowing you to thrive.
- Impactful healthcare transformations: Contribute to meaningful changes in the global healthcare landscape.
- International cooperation with teams in Slovenia, UK, Germany, and other countries.
