In this role, you will: 
 
  • Help with design and support teams in integration with Azure 
  • Linux and Windows system administration 
  • Automate product deployments 
  • Develop monitoring solutions and dashboards 
  • Manage virtualized infrastructure (VMware/Azure) 
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues 
  • Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance 
  • Maintaining our virtualized infrastructure, development servers (git, CI), etc.  
  • To develop automated product deployments, updates and identifying production issues.  
  • In addition, Better aims for full Azure presence for all our products, so your role will also require knowledge of Azure.   

 

Your Better attributes:  
 
  • Five years of DevOps experience 
  • Passion for continuous learning about new technologies 
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills 
  • Able to multitask, prioritise and manage time efficiently 
  • Solid knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, Centos) 
  • Bash scripting 
  • Basic experience with development (at least one programing language, Java, ...) 
  • Understanding and basic experience with Azure 
  • Configuration management tools (Ansible) 
  • CI/CD 
  • Git 
  • Good knowledge about L4 and L7 load balancers (Haproxy, Nginx) 
  • Experience with packet capturing tools (tcpdump, ngrep, Wireshark) 
  • Networking knowledge (basic understanding of routing, firewalls,...) 
  • Managing databases (MSSQL, PSQL, ORACLE) 
  • Monitoring tools (Zabbix,...)
