The latest update of Better Studio, version 3.12, continues to develop and implement better AI tools for our product documentation and the AQL builder.
This June, we are beefing up the Better Studio AI implementations by expanding what we already offer and adding new, exciting features for our users to test out.
AI support to our documentation
Navigating our product documentation and release notes just got much easier with our new AI documentation support. You can now search for information more efficiently by simply typing your question into the top search bar and choosing the AI generated answer.

Why is this useful?
Our documentation has become quite extensive over the years. Information about functionalities, improvements, and bug fixes can be found in different content sections, which can be a pain to search around.
With AI, you can now see all the information grouped together, without the need to jump between sections, ensuring you find the answers you need as quickly as possible, and using them to create better and more advanced forms.
This feature is designed to streamline your workflow and enhance your overall experience, so hopefully you will find some good use for it.
The AQL builder AI assistant debugs it all!
The AI documentation support is not our first AI integration in Better Studio. That was our AQL queries AI assistant, which was an experimental beta feature we added in October of last year.
Thanks to the feedback we have received from early adopters, we were able to expand its capabilities and provide an even better AI experience. Where before you were only able to quickly create AQL queries, you can now troubleshoot your existing ones. This improvement aims to simplify the query-building process, making it more intuitive and user-friendly.

We know that the most challenging part of Better Studio is adding and creating AQL queries, connecting your forms to concrete data points. Understanding why an AQL query doesn’t work can be especially frustrating. With the query assistant, you don’t have to spend your time looking for issues, as it will simply do that for you, while also providing the correct AQL code.
Beyond AI implementations
Although the tech industry has had a single goal in the past couple of years – integrating AI as much as possible, as quickly as possible – we continue to do other important work to improve Better Studio capabilities.
Our Better Studio Product Director Benjamin Muhič says it best:
“Developing Better Studio is a continuous process, and having it enhanced with AI tools that help our users get better results faster is definitely one of our key goals. There are still many parts of Better Studio where we want to implement AI – and we will! – but we still rely on our developers to do meaningful work, improving Better Studio with every release cycle.”
There are many things we are proud about this review cycle:
- We were able to push forward some design changes to better align Better Studio with the Better Design System.
- We have improved optionality by giving you more power and control over the Better Studio user experience.
- We have minimised repetitive work with targeted configuration options.
We are happy to bring even more improvements in the autumn release cycle.
Until then, we hope the Better Studio experience continues to bring you value and we wish you happy building!
