Kauno klinikos has selected Better to implement Better Meds, our electronic prescribing and medicines administration (ePMA) solution, as part of the hospital’s digital transformation programme.
As the largest healthcare provider in the Baltics, Hospital of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences Kauno klinikos employs more than 5,000 healthcare professionals, operates across more than 35 clinical departments, and delivers over 1.5 million patient visits each year. The implementation of Better Meds will support the hospital’s ambition to modernise medication management, improve patient safety, and enable more efficient clinical workflows. The solution is planned to be implemented across all clinical departments at Kauno klinikos.
The project officially began with a joint kick-off in Kaunas, where the implementation team from Better worked alongside clinical and IT colleagues to establish the foundations for delivery. From the outset, both organisations have shared a clear vision of building a modern, interoperable digital ecosystem based on open data principles and a modular hospital information system architecture.
