We are looking for a new Database Developer to join our team!
At Better, we are building software solutions that help medical teams improve patient care. Our advanced open-data medical platform and healthcare applications already support over 22 million patients’ electronic health records worldwide, making data quality our number one priority.
This is where you come in as our new Database Developer. You will be responsible for developing, testing, upgrading, managing, and maintaining the database code for our products and ensuring data quality.
Your responsibilities:
  • Developing database code for data processing and performing specific tasks
  • Executing data import, synchronization, and migration jobs
  • Data extraction and preparation for data warehouse and reporting
  • Data manipulation, analysis, and data cleansing
  • Upgrading and improving application schemas and performing data upgrades
  • Assisting with schema design, code review, and SQL tuning
  • Collaborating with end-users and ensuring the data meets their needs
  • Creating IT documentation for new and existing databases
Skills and expertise you need to excel at this job:
  • Experience in SQL
  • Experience with procedural languages such as PL/SQL
  • Experience with at least one RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL and MySQL)
  • Understanding of data and schema standards and concepts
  • Understanding of database design and implementation
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Teamwork and time-management skills
