We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join our expert and ambitious IT team!

As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for building the Better platform and its healthcare applications. If you have outstanding programming skills and a passion for developing innovative applications, then you will love this job.

Your duties and responsibilities:

  • Main focus on coding and debugging
  • Building high-quality reusable code
  • Developing functional and sustainable applications
  • Constantly striving to optimise performance
  • Being involved and participating in the overall application lifecycle
  • Defining and communicating technical and design requirements
  • Continually learning and trying new technologies and staying up to date with the best practices
  • Collaborating with other developers, designers and DevOps
     

Backend developer requirements and qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a backend developer in Java or Kotlin
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Good organisational and time-management skills


Familiarity with technologies:

  • Java or Kotlin
  • Maven
  • Git
  • Continuous integration tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, …)
  • Profilers (YourKit, …)
  • Basic knowledge of Linux
