Skills and expertise you need to excel in this position:

  • Experience & Technical Knowledge: 3-7 years of experience as a QA Engineer in a similar field, with a solid understanding of testing concepts, QA methodologies, and programming languages relevant to testing.
  • Testing Skills & Tools: Familiar with various testing strategies (e.g., exploratory, regression testing), test case management tools, bug tracking software, and debugging tools. Awareness of APIs (HTTP methods, response codes, web services).
  • Attention to Detail & Problem-Solving: Keen eye for detail, ability to identify even the smallest issues, strong troubleshooting skills, and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with developers and other stakeholders, strong reporting skills, and the ability to document findings well.
  • Continuous Learning & Teamwork: Strong desire to learn new technologies, improve skills, work well in a team, and collaborate to achieve common goals.

How will you drive success in this role through your daily actions?

  • Collaborating with team members: Working closely with developers and QA teams to assist in creating testing scenarios based on product specifications, including automated test scripts and manual testing scenarios.
  • Executing testing scenarios: Regularly performing testing tasks (both manual and automated) and analysing the results to identify issues.
  • Document testing phases: Helping create logs to document testing activities and any defects found during testing.
  • Reporting issues: Effectively communicating bugs and errors to the development team.
  • Troubleshooting: Supporting the team in troubleshooting issues that arise during testing.
  • Participating in post-release testing: Helping conduct testing after releases to ensure everything is functioning as expected.
  • Maintaining test scripts: Adjusting test scripts based on feedback and issues identified by users.
  • Working with cross-functional teams: Engaging in collaboration with different teams to help ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
